Friday, December 04, 2009 from 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM (GMT+1000)
The next meeting of the QLD ALM user group is scheduled for the 4th December and features one of our user group favourites, Chuck Sterling present on Team Lab Management. Chuck is taking time out from his QLD holiday to present one of the most amazing features coming out in Visual Studio 2010.
Session Abstract:
With Team Lab Management integrated with TFS 2010 and Team Build, you can build, deploy and test your applications on an automatically provisioned virtual environment. No more waiting days or even weeks for a refresh of your test or staging regions, Team Lab Management manages this on less than an hour typically.
Team Lab Management utilises Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 (SCVMM) and Windows Hyper-V to deploy environments based on virtual machine images in your template library. During Chuck's session he'll demonstrate this in action and deploy a application onto a brand new environment with the click of a button.
About the presenter:
Charles "Chuck" Sterling
Chuck was instrumental in helping kick off our user group back in 2006 and following his return to Redmond, he has taken on the role of Community Guru in the VSTS product group. Chuck has been busily keeping the communication channels open between the prodyct team and the community of MVP's, VSTS Rangers and other folk keen to champion the value of VSTS/TFS.
